GCC Rio Grande Access Road and Bridge

LONCO, Inc. provided complete design services for this 2.2-mile access roadway into a private industrial site. The access roadway crosses the St. Charles River on a 310-foot prestressed concrete girder bridge, also designed by LONCO. The design of this bridge was performed using the latest AASHTO LRFD code, as currently required by CDOT. LONCO was the prime consultant on this project and led the effort to secure a US Army Corps of Engineers 404 Permit as well as convincing FEMA that a CLOMR was not required for this project. Steve Banks was the Project Manger for this project that was completed in 2007. LONCO also provided construction management services.
