Xcel Energy Comanche Baghouse

The 24 compartment Unit 1 Baghouse is located on the Xcel Energy Comanche Plant in Pueblo, Colorado. After years of use, the metal-framed building had experienced damage from water infiltration and exposure to fly ash. LONCO was hired as part of a team to design a cladding system to repair the interior of the building and prevent a reoccurrence of the problem. The LONCO team designed and managed the construction of an interior stainless steel ‘structural skin’ that protects the baghouse from further corrosion.
