Rotary Uninterrupted Power Source (UPS) Installation

LONCO, Inc. was the prime design professional responsible for all civil and structural engineering associated with this design-build project. The project included the design and/or installation of four 2.2 MVA, 480V Rotary UPS units with weather tight enclosures; two 6000 gallon fuel tanks; Blockhouse; four 2200kva transformers, choke and switchgear. Specifically, these services required the preparation of demolition plans, grading and drainage plans and foundation plans. LONCO prepared construction documents to remove all pavement and structures from the approximately one acre site, install new conduits to/from the new Rotary Uninterrupted Power Source, the new electrical equipment installed and the area restored using a gravel surface. The existing drainage patterns were to be preserved as part of this project as much as possible. LONCO designed the foundations for the equipment loads, both static and dynamic.
